Il museo Yves Saint Laurent di Parigi fra glam e storia
Ogni volta visitarlo per me è come la prima volta. Il Museo Yves Saint Laurent di Parigi espone l’intera opera dello stilista nei leggendari locali della sua ex casa di alta moda attraverso mostre tematiche temporanee. Al numero 5 di avenue Marceau, dove Yves Saint Laurent ha trascorso quasi trent’anni disegnando le sue collezioni dal 1974 al 2002, sorge anche la Fondation Pierre Bergé.
“I ricordi vanno trasformati in progetti – ha più volte ribadito Pierre Bergé – ed è quello che abbiamo fatto con questa Fondazione. Il 2017 segna un nuovo capitolo con l’apertura di due musei Yves Saint Laurent a Parigi e Marrakech. E così continua l’avventura iniziata tanto tempo fa, quando non sapevamo cosa ci avrebbe riservato il destino”.
Il percorso creativo si concentra sia sul genio creativo del couturier che sul processo di realizzazione di una collezione di haute couture, facendo rivivere la storia del XX secolo e le tradizioni dell’alta moda che hanno accompagnato uno stile di vita che continua a dettare legge.
La scenografa Nathalie Crinière e il decoratore Jacques Grange, entrambi collaboratori di lunga data della Fondazione, hanno progettato gli spazi espositivi per ricreare l’atmosfera originale della casa di haute couture.
Alla sua apertura, il Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris è stato il primo museo di queste dimensioni, dedicato all’opera di uno dei più grandi couturier del XX secolo, ad aprire nella capitale della moda. E ancora rappresenta uno dei punti di riferimento principali nello scenario mondiale della moda.

Every time visiting it is like the first time for me. The Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris displays the designer’s entire oeuvre in the legendary premises of his former couture house through temporary thematic exhibitions. At number 5 avenue Marceau, where Yves Saint Laurent spent almost thirty years designing his collections from 1974 to 2002, there is also the Fondation Pierre Bergé.
“Memories must be transformed into projects – Pierre Bergé reiterated several times – and this is what we have done with this Foundation. 2017 marks a new chapter with the opening of two Yves Saint Laurent museums in Paris and Marrakech. And so the adventure that began a long time ago continues, when we didn’t know what fate would have in store for us.”
The creative path focuses both on the creative genius of the couturier and on the process of creating a haute couture collection, reviving the history of the 20th century and the traditions of high fashion that accompanied a lifestyle that continues to dictate the law.
Set designer Nathalie Crinière and decorator Jacques Grange, both long-time collaborators of the Foundation, designed the exhibition spaces to recreate the original atmosphere of the haute couture house.
Upon its opening, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris was the first museum of this size, dedicated to the work of one of the greatest couturiers of the 20th century, to open in the fashion capital. And it still represents one of the main points of reference in the world fashion scene.
