Come Carrie a New York
Da Perry street alla Magnolia bakery. A New York basta poco per sentirsi come Carrie Bradshaw. E così, all’improvviso, ci si ritrova catapultati sui luoghi in cui sono state girate le puntate di “Sex and the City”. A dirla tutta, Carrie aveva ragione: andare in giro nella grande mela indossando le scarpe giuste è tutta un’altra storia. Certo, un paio di sneakers fanno sempre comodo, ma posso garantirvi che per uno stranissimo motivo, attraversare le strade di NY sui tacchi fa la differenza. Provare per credere. Ci si può infatti tranquillamente spostare a piedi da un luogo all’altro per scoprire tratti inediti di questa intrigante serie televisiva che continua a entusiasmare gli appassionati. Lo ammetto, arrivata al 66 di Perry Street, sulle scale di quella casa su cui si affaccia una finestra poco illuminata, per un attimo anche io ho sognato di aspettare Mr. Big. Resistere alla tentazione di immedesimarsi in questa sorta di set a cielo aperto è praticamente impossibile. Così come lo è non cedere dinnanzi a un golosissimo cupcake della Magnolia Bakery. Siamo sempre nella zona del Greenwich Village. Qui, Carrie e Miranda si confidavano i loro segreti addentando una nuvola rosa tutta di zucchero. All’interno di questa speciale pasticceria c’è persino una loro foto. Ma non finisce qui. A due passi dal Tao, il locale elegantemente fusion nella zona di Chelsea dove Carrie capisce di provare ancora qualcosa per il suo Big (e noi sappiamo che in realtà non ha mai smesso), ci si ritrova al Buddakan. Via libera anche qui ai sogni: dall’alto, la vista della sala dove si è svolta la cena prima del giorno delle nozze mancate tra Carrie e Big, è mozzafiato. E poi Central Park e l’Upper East Side. Insomma, un’esperienza da non perdere a New York, perché qui, anche se non si è sicuri della propria direzione, si può comunque trovare la strada verso qualcosa di fantastico. E se lo dice Carrie, c’è da fidarsi.

I admit it, having arrived at 66 Perry Street, on the stairs of that house overlooking a dimly lit window, for a moment I also dreamed of waiting for Mr. Big. Resisting the temptation to identify with this sort of open-air set is practically impossible. Just as it is not to give in front of a luscious cupcake from Magnolia Bakery. We are always in the Greenwich Village area. Here, Carrie and Miranda confided their secrets by biting into a pink cloud of sugar. Within this special pastry there is even a photo of them. But it doesn’t end there. A stone’s throw from the Tao, the elegantly fusion restaurant in the Chelsea area where Carrie understands that she still feels something for her Big (and we know that in reality she has never stopped), we find ourselves at the Buddakan. Go ahead also here to dreams: from above, the view of the hall where the dinner was held before the missed wedding day between Carrie and Big, is breathtaking.
